I’ve recently joined YA to lead our Canadian human resources team, and let me tell you, I couldn’t be happier to join an organization experiencing so much growth. In fact, we recently announced that we are tripling the size of our office space in Chatham, Ontario and plan to nearly double the number of employees based here!
Adding to our team
Chatham-Kent is home to our Contact Center team–who are critical in supporting our clients’ promotional programs. YA currently employs nearly 110 highly professional people in Canada. The new hires will include Contact Center Associates and Supervisors for inbound and outbound customer support.
The new office space and team member additions are directly related to meeting increasing client needs. We’re happy to say that clients are asking for more and more from our team!
Additionally, the expansion supports YA’s business transformation. Many of the clients we work with operate beyond U.S. borders—selling products and services in other geographic locations. Our expanded Contact Center team, as well as the addition of new sales and marketing talent, will enable us to continue to grow our business in the Canadian market with existing and new clients.
Expanding our workspace
As you can imagine with all of the new team members, we are also focused on enhancing our workspace! It’s getting bigger and better, with new features and equipment! We’re excited to move into our new space in September. From a look and feel perspective, we are mirroring the work environment of our headquarter office in Minneapolis. We’re creating the space with a great deal of intention, because we’re determined to attract the best talent pool possible for our new team. After all, great talent creates great client results and, as a client-centric organization, that’s what we’re all about.
The clean, modern and open space fosters interaction among co-workers and seeks to establish us as a “workplace destination,” creating a high-energy atmosphere in which top performers will thrive.
I have more than 15 years’ diverse HR experience and have a record of success leading change, strategy, organizational development, HR management and employee programs. I will be putting that experience to good use as I focus on our recruitment initiatives to meet our business requirements and streamlining HR processes to support our expansion plans!
In the weeks to come, I’ll be interviewing new candidates, making recommendations and hiring the right combination of top talent to meet all our client needs. As we grow our team and build our culture, we’ll be introducing a portfolio of training activities and launching our health and culture initiative for all our of colleagues.
